Twitter is “more excited” about YouTuber mom Ruby Franke’s mugshot than Donald Trump’s

8 Passengers YouTuber and mother Ruby Franke has been arrested for child molestation and social media is awaiting her mugshot.
Ruby Franke, known for running her family’s YouTube channel 8 Passengers, has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated child abuse.
The Utah-based content creator was arrested Wednesday (Aug. 31, 2023) along with frequent collaborator Jodi Hildebrandt at their home after Franke’s malnourished son escaped out a window and ran to a nearby house to get help, say the authorities.
The Santa Clara-Ivins Department of Public Safety hasn’t provided any further updates, but critics are already awaiting Franke’s booking photo.
Twitter is waiting for Ruby Franke’s mug shot
Franke and Hildebrandt were arrested after authorities found the former’s 12-year-old son “emaciated and malnourished, with open wounds and tape on his extremities,” according to the official press release.

The teenager was taken to the local hospital, as was Franke’s 10-year-old daughter, who was found at the home in a similar condition.
Franke openly showed off her family life online on her YouTube channel, which has featured reaction videos featuring her six children, Christmas vlogs and even a music video. The channel launched in 2015 and was shut down earlier this year for unclear reasons.
“Counting down the days until Ruby Franke’s mugshot gets released,” one person wrote online.
This person believes the case will draw more attention than one of the most well-known celebrity lawsuits:
“This shit with Ruby Franke from 8 Passengers must be bigger than the Depp vs. Heard-Fallmann,” they tweeted. “Lowkey can’t wait to see Ruby’s leaked mugshot because I think it’ll be out soon.”
A third person added, “Sorry to say this, but I’m more excited for Ruby Franke’s mugshot than Trump’s.”
Donald Trump’s mugshot, the first of an American President, was released on Thursday (August 24). He appeared in the Fulton County, Georgia jail on more than a dozen charges stemming from his alleged efforts to reverse the state’s 2020 election results.

Ruby Franke’s family speaks out during the arrest
Ruby Franke’s husband Kevin has not released a statement online, but his attorney claims he is focused on “keeping his children together under his fatherly care”.
Her sisters – Bonnie Hoellein, Ellie Mecham and Julie Deru – posted a lengthy message on Instagram claiming they did everything they could to keep the children safe.
“For the past three years, for the sake of her children, we have remained silent on the subject of our sister Ruby Franke,” it says. “Behind the public eye, we did everything we could to keep the children safe.”
It continued, “It wouldn’t be right for us to continue with regular content without addressing recent events. Once we do that, we will not comment further.”
