Trump news – live: 11 GOP senators vote against aid to Ukraine as Cruz faces lawsuit over 2020 election

Donald Trump is reportedly writing a book about how the presidency was stolen from him

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz is facing a lawsuit from a campaign group trying to disfellowship him in Texas for his participation in a failed attempt to overturn the 2020 US Supreme Court election.

Mr. Cruz, who formally objected to Joe Biden’s victory in the Senate even after the Capitol was attacked by Trump supporters during the trial, is accused of violating legal ethics by participating in the sinking Texas vs Pennsylvania case that his state is suing several others that Mr. Biden rightfully won.

As the Jan. 6 committee prepares for a summer of shocking and troubling hearings into the Capitol riots, Donald Trump has reported to committee member Liz Cheney, claiming she has taken her opposition to him to the extreme. In conversation with The Washington PostHe called her a “crazy lunatic”.

The committee’s first public hearing since last year is scheduled for June 9.

Pelosi urges GOP to reject ‘replacement theory’ after only one Republican backs domestic terrorism bill

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi condemned the “extremely disturbing” conspiracy theory at the heart of a racial massacre that claimed the lives of 10 people in Buffalo, New York, and urged Republicans in Congress, who are referring to the so-called “Replacement Theory” related to publicly denouncing it.

“Why doesn’t everyone in this Congress say I reject the replacement theory?” she said May 19 outside the US Capitol, along with members of the Congressional Black Caucus, the Hispanic Caucus, and the Asian Pacific American Caucus.

Her comments came the day after a vote in the House of Representatives to set up domestic terrorism offices in three federal agencies, with mass shootings in Buffalo mounting amid attacks by white supremacists that federal law enforcement have repeatedly warned about.

Only one Republican, Illinois Rep. Adam Kinzinger, broke instructions from House GOP leaders to vote against the bill, joining all Democrats in support. Four Republicans abstained. It was accepted by a vote of 222 to 203.

Liberals Blame Trump For Baby Formula Shortage, But Is That Right?

Infant formula in the US is dominated by domestic manufacturers; Foreign manufacturers account for just a few percentage points of the total US baby food market share, largely due to the Food and Drug Administration’s strict standards for both content and labeling, which restrict many European companies from the market.

Trump has been criticized on social media for a trade deal, the 2020 deal between the United States, Mexico and Canada, which set new trade rules for businesses and trade across North America and severely curtailed Canada’s dairy sector, which has long been the subject of criticism the US conservative right because of its government-imposed price and import controls.

But there was a bipartisan agreement on the issue of restrictions on Canada’s dairy sector, and one of the loudest advocates on the issue was Democrat, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer.

According to Michigan’s top election official, Trump proposed trying her for treason and having her executed

Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson, who has fought off a spate of threats after Joe Biden won the state in the 2020 presidential election, said in an interview with NBC News that she was told Trump “did at a meeting in… White House suggested that she should be arrested for treason and executed.”

“It was surreal and I was sad,” she told the network, which airs the interview in full Thursday night. “It certainly added to the heightened sense of anxiety, stress and uncertainty of that time – which I still feel in many ways – because it showed there was no reason for how far.” [Trump] and his supporters were willing to stoop to overturn or discredit a legitimate election.”

Republicans disputed the idea that these were pre-January 6 “reconnaissance” tours. The committee investigating the attack says evidence “directly contradicts” it.

In February, Republicans on the House Administration Committee sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi claiming they had “reviewed security footage” surrounding the Jan. 6, 2021 attack on the Congress Halls and said: “[knew] it [did] do not support these repeated accusations by Democrats about so-called “reconnaissance tours”.

But in their letter to Republican Congressman Barry Loudermilk, the chairmen of the House special committee investigating the attack on the Capitol said their “examination of the evidence directly contradicts this denial.”
