Trump is reinstated on Twitter after Elon Musk released a poll

Ex-President Trump Reinstated on Twitter, Elon Musk said in a tweet Saturday night.
Trump, 76, was banned from the social media platform after the Jan. 6, 2021 riot.
On Friday, Musk released a 24-hour Twitter poll asking users to decide whether the controversial Trump, who recently announced a new run for the White House, should be reinstated on the embattled platform.

In the end, more than 15 million people voted, with those who voted to reinstate Trump receiving 51.8% of the vote, versus 48.2% who said no.
“People have spoken. Trump is reinstated. Vox Populi, Vox Dei”, Musk wrote just after 8 p.m
The Latin expression means “the voice of the people is the voice of God”.
Just before launching his Twitter poll into the fate of Trump’s presence on the platform, Musk announced the reinstatement of satirical news site Babylon Bee, controversial author Jordan Peterson, and hot-headed comedian Kathy Griffin.
Musk spent $44 billion to buy Twitter, which has been in turmoil since his reign began on November 3.

He immediately fired thousands of workers, and hundreds more have resigned in the weeks since.
By Thursday, so many employees had abandoned the app that it was slowing down, leading to fears it could be shut down altogether.
The hashtags #RIPTwitter and #GoodbyeTwitter were trending, but Twitter was still functioning on Saturday when Musk boasted about how popular the Trump poll was.
“134 million people have seen this survey”, he tweeted.
