Travis Scott halts concert to help fans after Astroworld tragedy

Travis Scott suspended his Coney Island concert on Monday to ensure the safety of fans following his deadly Astroworld show in November, which was described as a “mass casualty event”.

The 31-year-old “Sicko Mode” rapper performed at The Day Party at The Coney Art Walls as fans climbed a lighting truss to get a better view of the show.

Scott spotted the fans – including one dressed as Spider-Man – dangling from the fixture and ordered them down. They signed on and the show went on, TMZ reported.

“Travis is committed to doing his part to ensure events are as safe as possible so fans can have fun, and he encouraged fans to listen to safety requests and climb down from lighting structures so everyone enjoys safely last can night performance,” a rep for Scott told The Post on Tuesday.

Footage from the performance shows conditions similar to those at last year’s Astroworld Festival in Houston, where 10 attendees were crushed to death in a massive crowd.

Scott claimed he didn’t see fans passed out and ambulances in the sea of 50,000 during his performance. Despite this, he was hit by dozens of lawsuits.

Scott has slowly returned to live performances. With the help of Diddy, he performed at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15. He was scheduled to perform at the Day N Vegas Festival in Nevada, but the event was canceled due to “a combination of logistics, timing and production issues.”

Instead, he spent his July 4th weekend performing at Club E11even in Miami on Saturday.
