Travis Scott gives 2K gifts to children in Houston after Astroworld tragedy as he and Kylie Jenner keep their eyes off the public
TRAVIS Scott gave more than 2,000 gifts to children in Houston in the wake of the Astroworld tragedy.
The 30-year-old was giving presents as he and Kylie Jenner stayed out of the public eye.
TMZ reported Thursday that Travis and his Cactus Jack Foundation will be giving toys to more than 2,000 Houston children from disadvantaged families.
A source told the outlet that gifts will be distributed at six Houston Housing Authority complexes across the city, with gifts arriving before Christmas Day.
Cactus Jack’s Foundation Instagram The account also shared an image promoting a toy drive.
Besides the sign for the toy drive, the foundation also shared pictures of tables full of funny gifts for children.
The caption of the post reads: “The Cactus Jack Foundation’s second annual toy drive is now open. 1 toy per child, first come, first served.”
Again Instagram The post shows Houston locals lining up to pick up toys on the table.
ASTROWORLD TRAGEDY
The toy play comes months after 10 people died and hundreds were injured against the backdrop of Travis at the Astroworld festival.
According to Texas officials, the crowd began “sprinkling toward the front of the stage” around 9:15 p.m., sparking panic.
ONE “mass casualty incident” was announced a few minutes later at 9:38 p.m.
It also emerged that Travis was playing more than 30 minutes after the mass casualty announcement.
BREAKING HIS Aging
The day after the tragedy happened in November, Travis took to social media to sorry.
In a statement uploaded to Twitter, he said: “I am absolutely devastated by what happened last night.
“My prayers are with the families and all those affected by what happened at the Astroworld Festival.
“Houston PD has my full support as they continue to consider the tragic loss of life. I am committed to working with the Houston community to heal and support struggling families.
“Thanks to PD Houston, Fire Department, and NRG Park for the immediate response and assistance. I love you all.”
An emotional Travis later took to Instagram, as he said he was “devastated” by what had taken place.
He reiterated that he “never could have imagined anything like this happening.”
LOW PROFILE
Both Travis and his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, 24, have remained anonymous since the tragedy.

As Kylie moves away from social media, the pregnant star has built a new family home closer to her mother Kris and sister Khloe.
The house is being built on a $15 million plot of land.
The Sun exclusively reported that Kylie bought five acre vacant lot in cash in May 2020.
Travis and Kylie are already parents to three-year-old daughter Stormi.
