Travis Blake arrested for the murder of the Queen’s mother Karlene Barnett

The estranged boyfriend of a Queens mother who was murdered along with her son and niece was arrested Thursday by Maine officers in connection with the triple murder, police said.

Travis Blake, 29, was picked up by members of the Regional Fugitive Task Force a day after he was identified as a suspect in the gruesome murders of 55-year-old Karlene Barnett, who he had been with, and her son Dervon Brightly, 36. and Barnett’s 22-year-old niece, Vashawnna Malcolm.

The three relatives were found dead at Barnett’s home in South Jamaica on June 24, police said.

Two days before authorities discovered the grisly scene, Blake stopped by Barnett’s house to get his belongings, sources said.

Malcolm, who was visiting from the nation of Jamaica, was found gagged and bound with multiple stab wounds in a second-story bedroom, police sources said.

Barnett and Brightly’s bodies were found in the basement. Each suffered trauma and stab wounds, police said.

The three had reportedly been dead for days before their bodies, already decomposing in the summer heat, were discovered.

Friends and neighbors were shocked to learn of the triple murder.

“We’re all trying to figure out how this animal killed three people,” Danielle Richardson, a friend of Brightly, told the Post Sunday. Travis Blake arrested for the murder of the Queen’s mother Karlene Barnett
