Travis Barker gets a tattoo in memory of Taylor Hawkins

Travis Barker got a tattoo in honor of the late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Hawkins died last month while touring with the band in Colombia. Although no cause of death has been confirmed, a toxicology report confirmed he had 10 different substances in his system, including opioids and antidepressants.

Barker, Blink-182’s drummer, posted pictures of him getting the tattoo on Instagram and also wrote the caption: “HAWK forever.”

Barker was joined for inking by his fiancé, Kourtney Kardashian. The tattoo is a drawing of a hawk on his foot.

Barker previously paid tribute to Hawkins with a lengthy social media post: “I’m at a loss for words. Sorry to write this or never to see you again. I’ll never forget the days in Laguna Beach when I was a garbage man and played in a punk rock band and you played with Alanis [Morissette]. You’d come to watch me play in bars and say, ‘Boy, you’re a star.’ And I thought you were crazy, but you gave me so much hope and determination.”

He added: “I have fondest memories of smoking cigarettes in the toilets of flights we were on together and watching your set every night. To say I will miss you my friend is not enough. Until next time we drum and smoke in the boy’s room…rest in peace.”

A number of other music luminaries, including Brian May, Paul McCartney and Slash, have also paid tribute to Hawkins following his death at the age of 50.
