Tomball shooting: teenager injured in the head near a water treatment plant

TOMBALL, Texas (KTRK) — A victim in her late teens was shot dead after agreeing to meet with an unknown party Monday afternoon in Tomball for a narcotics transaction, lawmakers say.

At approximately 1:32 p.m., a neighbor called the Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies, who responded to the shooting near 29828 Kingbird Drive.

Upon arrival, HCSO met Tomball PD and Rural Northwest EMS who had the young man with a gunshot wound to the head. He is expected to be fine.

The teenager struck someone near a water treatment plant before gunshots rang out at the intersection of Quaking Aspen Drive and Kingbird Drive, lawmakers say.

The victim ran to a friend’s house nearby, where they called the authorities.

Investigators believe the victim was robbed by the person he met, who fled the scene with two other suspects.

At least six shell casings were found at the scene. Investigators say both parties exchanged gunfire and a gun was found.
