Tom Brady didn’t want to talk to Charles Barkley about a Fox deal

Hopefully Tom Brady is a little calmer in the dressing room.

The Buccaneers quarterback awkwardly changed the subject Sunday night when Charles Barkley addressed Brady’s 10-year, $375 million contract with Fox, which begins when his playing career ends.

Brady joined Inside the NBA along with Aaron Rodgers on Sunday night to promote The Match. Brady and Rodgers will take on Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes in the June 1 golf showdown on TNT. Brady joked with Barkley that he was the lowest paid among those top-flight quarterbacks.

Barkley had a quick comeback for future Hall of Famers.

“Tom, number one, if you’re worried about being the lowest paid guy, why don’t you just quit, retire and go watch TV? I hear loose change is coming your way,” Barkley said.

“All in good time,” Brady said after nervous laughter. “I think you’re fine yourself.”

Brady then quickly changed the subject.

“Speaking of which, I love your boys’ show,” said Brady, whose TV contract details were first reported by The Post’s Andrew Marchand. “I told Shaq when I had dinner with him … The best camaraderie I think everyone on TV is trying to emulate what you do so keep up the good work. It’s like a very dysfunctional Thanksgiving family dinner. You are doing very well.”

Brady will be working alongside Kevin Burkhardt in Fox’s top football locker room when it comes time to hang up the boots.
