TNT Actually Hired Kobe Bryant for ‘Inside the NBA’

Charles Barkley dropped a sports media bomb.
Barkley appeared on “Draymond Green Show” on Volume Sports and revealed that Kobe Bryant was signed to TNT at one point.
“Not many people know this and I’m probably going to be in trouble telling you this, but we actually hired Kobe Bryant,” Barkley said.
Barkley said the late Lakers great agreed to work with Turner Sports but “didn’t want to do all the other things – ie participate in PR shows and radio interviews etc – that came with the contract.” performances.
“He actually signed us, but when we started telling him [about doing outside interviews] he said, “Yeah, I don’t want to do any of that,” Barkley said.

Bryant did some media work for ESPN, producing the basketball movie research program “Details” for the then fledgling ESPN+ streaming service.
Barkley said maybe only 10 people in the world knew that Bryant was signed to Turner Sports before his death.
This segment opens up a ton of possibilities as to what Bryant’s role might be. Logic would suggest that he would Not was on the “Inside the NBA” main table alongside Ernie Johnson, Barkley, Kenny Smith and Shaquille O’Neal.
As interesting as Kobe and Shaq disagreed strongly on set after a heated playoff matchup would be for the rest of us, it’s hard to see that’s something Bryant would agree to do.
There’s a good chance Bryant did something on the sidelines of the studio show, like how Kevin Garnett has been doing his “Area 51” segments for a few years.
