Tinseltown returns to downtown Negaunee on December 11

NEGAUNEE, Mich. (WJMN) – Irontown is back Sparkling Town for a single night in December.

Celebrations in Downtown Negaunee are presented by the Downtown Negaunee Development Authority. There will be activities for all ages: sleigh rides, live music at the stage, wine tastings, cooking decorations at the Negaunee Eagles, tunnels of lights, Christmas trees and wreaths, and shows. especially at many local businesses.

“Tinseltown is an event that we have had in Negaunee for many years now, but we are looking to put another stamp on it this year and try to attract more people to the downtown Negaunee area,” Peter Munson, said board member of the Negaunee DDA. “We will have a number of different pieces on the synopsis. The Negaunee High School Band will be there, the Lakeview Fourth Grade Choir will sing, the city band will sing, and the Negaunee Boys Choir will sing. Of course, we’ll have a parade with Santa and the kids will have a chance to decorate cookies, we’ll take pictures with Santa, ride a sleigh. ”

The festival will begin at 4pm on December 11 with a parade and tree lighting at 6pm. Then came a visit from Santa Claus at Elks Lodge.
