Tina Turner and her husband buy $78 million worth of real estate on Lake Zurich – Billboard

Rock ‘n’ roll icon Tina Turner and her husband are said to have purchased a property worth 70 million Swiss francs ($76 million) with 10 buildings, ponds, streams, pools and marinas on Lake Zurich.

The husband of the 82-year-old star, Erwin Bach, is quoted in the daily Handelszeitung As reported, the couple acquired the 24,000 square meter (260,000 square foot) centuries-old property in the village of Staefa in September.

Bach said the purchase was a logical move as they both have Swiss citizenship and “feel very comfortable in Switzerland”. He added that “due to the pandemic and its consequences, we – like many other Swiss – unfortunately do not travel.”

The Swiss news reports say they will be neighbors of Swiss tennis superstar Roger Federer, who is said to have also looked at the property before settling in another further east along the lake.

Turner, known for hits like “Proud Mary” and “What’s Love Got To Do With It” and dynamic performances on stage, married German music executive Bach in 2016. 2013 after a long term relationship. Anna Mae Bullock was born on November 26, 1939, in Brownsville, Tennessee, she has lived in Switzerland with him since 1994.

Turner and Bach have rented a house in the town of Kuesnacht, closer to Zurich, for many years.
