Tiger Woods’ preparations for the 150th Open at St Andrews were revealed when he signed up for the event two weeks earlier

TIGER WOODS prepares for his crack at The Open by attending a two-day event in Ireland.

The returning golfing legend has signed up for the JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor between July 4th and 5th.

It’s the next chapter in the 15-time Major winner’s remarkable comeback from life-threatening injuries car accident in February 2021.

Hosted by JP McManus, the event will give Woods a chance to sharpen up for his much-anticipated appearance at the 150th Open Championship at St Andrews in July.

The charitable Pro-Am will feature some of the world’s top golfers including Rory McIlroyJon Rahm and Brooks Koepka.

McManus said: “Tiger’s presence at Adare Manor will no doubt cause great excitement among the thousands of spectators.

“We are very grateful to him for sacrificing his free time to be with us.”

Woods made a dramatic return last week Master.

He hit a 71 in the first round to make the cut before eventually finishing in 47th place.

He told Sky Sports: “I’m looking forward to St Andrews.

“That is very important to me.

“I’ve won two Opens there, it’s the home of golf and my favorite course in the world so I’ll be there.”
