Viewers sent their best wishes with one writing, “Anyone else crying with the whole team?”
Others were concerned for the presenters, calling footage of tearful presentations “absolutely heartbreaking” and saying they wished they could comfort them.
One wrote: “Can someone give Holly a hug PLEASE.”
Today Holly, 41, began to sob at the sight of children in Ukraine and Phillip Schofield paused as tears streamed down her face.
She later told viewers, “It’s very hard not to be scared when you see what’s going on in the world, when you read the newspapers or turn on the TV.”
Holly and Phillip were also overcome with emotion on Monday’s show when a young girl sang Let It Go in a Kiev bunker amid the Russian invasion.
Regarding the suffering of the Ukrainian children, she said: “It’s terrible, it’s terrible.”
And on Friday, Alison broke down and needed comfort from her co-stars after opening up about obesity.
The former Big Brother contestant, 47, began crying during a phone conversation when a caller named Jean opened up about her 17-year-old daughter’s struggles with food.
Alison was so moved by the call that she ended up breaking down crying, sobbing, “It’s so hard, people don’t realize it. When you grow up, people think you’re lazy.”
Sun legend Deidre Sanders then got up from her seat and came over to hug the host and said: “Oh Alison.”
