This is the oldest restaurant in Raleigh

RALEIGH, NC – Sometimes something very old can actually be a refreshing change.

Bring your appetite to Mecca; a historic Southern home cooking restaurant that has evolved over time. It is a cultural epicenter for the city of Raleigh and the only restaurant to feature an 80-year-old ham.

Greek immigrant Nicholas Dombalis opened the restaurant in 1930 and 92 years later it still cooks great meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

“There are so few of these little diners here in America… and if you want a real Southern diner experience, look no further than Mecca.” says owner, Greg Hatem. This is the oldest restaurant in Raleigh
