This Day in New York Sports History: Mets Acquire Mike Piazza (Video)

On that day, May 22, 1998, the New York Mets acquired Mike Piazza from the Marlins for Preston Wilson, Ed Yarnall and Geoff Goetz. The future Hall of Famer would hit 220 home runs and 655 RBI as a member of the Mets, leading to his number 31 being retired by the club in 2016.
