‘They certainly wouldn’t do that’: Agbonlahor shocked by West Ham United transfer rumour

Gabby Agbonlahor says David Moyes’ West Ham United would ‘certainly not’ sell star midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer amid interest from Manchester City.

The 25-year-old joined West Ham United for a hefty fee last summer and ended the season with a medal as Europa League Conference winners.

But now Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City are knocking on their door and Agbonlahor just can’t imagine how the Hammers will let Lucas Paqueta go like he said talkSPORT (08/09/23 at 8:55 am).

To think David Moyes hasn’t signed a player this summer after letting Declan Rice go was a nightmare scenario.

Well, things have probably gotten worse for the East London side as that’s the last thing fans want to hear.

As this transfer rumor made the rounds, former Aston Villa forward Agbonlahor shared his reaction.

“What about Paqueta to Manchester City?” asked Agbonlahor. “Certainly they wouldn’t sell him. Surely?!”

West Ham midfield

Nightmare, nightmare, nightmare. That’s all you can think of here.

What’s even worse for the Hammers is that Paqueta has one ‘Demand’ Who wouldn’t do that to join the Etihad? They are the triple winners.

But after losing Rice, the Brazilian star would have been the key man in midfield and now believing he will leave is a disaster for the club.
