This season is an important one for Chicago Bears, and we’re seeing the franchise in the midst of some important decisions.

After shooting of former head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace, the Bears have two integral roles. Chicago is in the process of interviewing for both positions and has interviewed a total of 14 applicants, to date.

But then recruitment team a coach and general manager, the two of whom will have the high duties ahead of managing this squad and making some additional decisions.

One of those decisions could ultimately be what the team should do about Khalil Mack. He was in the wrong 30s and took up a large portion of the salary cap space. Not only that, but most importantly, the Bears can use draft capital badly.

There are a few good reasons the Chicago Bears should be dealing with Khalil Mack and so many potential buyers.

With the way Robert Quinn exploded back onto the scene last season, the Bears will probably be fine move from Mack. All things considered, draft capital could be used to fill in the much larger holes in this list.

With Quinn and Trevis Gipson starting, the Bears still have a formidable duo in the position. On the seventh front, they continued to come under pressure even without Mack for the extended game.

Bears have wide openings in the receiver, back, safe, and attack lines, to name a few. With just two picks in the first four rounds of this year’s draft, the trading Mack could finally raise them with the capital needed to fill those holes.

What teams might be interested and what could the Bears get? Let’s take a look.
