THE X Factor star Jahmene Douglas looks unrecognizable a decade after appearing in the singing competition.
The star placed second on the ITV show behind James Arthur in 2012.
Jahmene posted a new photo after celebrating his 31st birthday – and revealed how much he’s changed since his X Factor days.
He wrote: “Chapter 31 | Year of Thanh Hoa.🙏🏽✨
“Thank you all for the birthday love!”
The stars from Simon Cowell’s talent show sent birthday wishes on his special day.

He went on to reach the live final of the competition, where he battled James Arthur for the coveted title and record contract.
Despite finishing in second place, Jahmene went on to have a successful music career signing a recording contract with Sony.
A year after his debut on the show, he released his first record – Love Never Fails – which featured an appearance by show consultant Nicole Schersinger.
In 2016, Jahmene released her second album, Unfathomable Phantasmagoria, which featured actor Samuel L Jackson.
He regularly takes selfies on his Instagram page, showing off his new look since his first TV appearance at the age of 20.
He looks to be in a better place than his time right after the show, which saw him share disturbing suicidal thoughts.
The soul and gospel singer admitted to fans that he had “suicidal thoughts” and felt “broken, lost and worthless” on Twitter.
“I don’t know what to do anymore,” he wrote. “My mind is always flooded with suicidal thoughts whenever my defenses drop.”
He continued: “I feel so down, lost and worthless. It seems like no matter how much I try to fix myself, who I talk to or what I put in, it’s always the same. come back like this.”
He ended the long note that reads: “All I have left is the desire to die. I don’t want it, but I have. It’s an inner battle. I’m afraid the next time I try, I will succeed because I have nothing left in place.”
Fans have flocked to Twitter to share their love and support for the singer saying he is not alone and should stay strong.
Jahmene later apologized to his fans and in an emotional open letter thanked them for their support.
Jahmene and his mother Mandy both talked about the horrific domestic violence they endured when Jahmene was a child, and the singer praised his mother for writing a book about the experience.
