The Williamsville family’s 2,000-pound pumpkin wins the World Pumpkin Weigh Off

CLARENCE, NY (WIVB) – Maybe this was the “big pumpkin” that Linus was so patiently waiting for.

The 2,023-pound pumpkin from the Andrusz family of Williamsville was the biggest of them all Saturday, winning the 28th World Pumpkin Weigh Off in Clarence.

The annual event takes place at Great Pumpkin Farm and winners take home a cash prize your website. The first known 1,000-pound pumpkin was weighed at the Great Pumpkin Farm Fall Festival in 1996.

The Great Pumpkin Farm is open daily through Halloween from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. To find out more, click here.
