The Wanted’s Tom Parker is resting under a blanket and drinking beer amid a brain cancer battle on tour

THE Wanted star Tom Parker enjoyed a bottle of beer while resting backstage on a sofa under a blanket on their tour.

The 33-year-old singer, who is in a wheelchair after undergoing treatment for an inoperable brain tumor that left him too weak to stand, smiled backstage.

The boy band embarked on their Manchester tour last night with behind the scenes footage shared throughout the evening by Max George.

In one clip he filmed Tom, who has recently returned from a grueling treatment in Spain, drinking a bottle of Peroni lager before the show.

You can hear Max say in mock indignation: “Drinking on the job.

The band have included Tom in their performances, with him appearing on a throne in recent nights.

In another video posted by Max, he was shown backstage in a wheelchair for whom the Manchester date is his hometown gig.

Max, 33, told fans: “Just chill out guys. Thanks very much. That was so, so special.”
