‘The View’ Host Criticized for Saying New York Migrants ‘Need to Be Resettled Elsewhere’

The co-hosts of “The View” faced intense backlash on social media on Friday after they suggested redistributing the flow of migrants coming to New York City across the United States.

New York City Mayor Eric Adams recently made his most ominous prediction yet for the fate of the Big Apple, which has struggled with an influx of more than 110,000 migrants since last year.

“Let me tell you something, New Yorkers. I’ve never had a problem in my life that I couldn’t see an end to. I don’t see an end to it. This problem will destroy New York City. “Destroy New York City,” the Democrat said Wednesday during a town hall meeting on the Upper West Side. “We receive 10,000 migrants every month.”

The View co-hosts also discussed the massive amounts of migrants pouring into America from America’s southern border.

“I think New York is now getting a little taste of what border states have been struggling with for decades,” said co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin.

“This is not a federal problem. This is not an American problem. This is a regional problem. This is a global problem and I think it requires everyone to sit together and not be performative,” said co-host Ana Navarro. “What is performative? We send busloads of migrants to Kamala Harris’ house or to Martha’s Vineyard.”

She went on to praise the federal government for “prioritizing asylum seekers” and recalled that “as a country, we have dealt with this before,” referencing her own arrival as an immigrant in the 1980s.

However, she seemed to agree with Adams that mass immigration poses too much of a logistical challenge because it “puts a huge strain on a city,” then sparked a firestorm when she said, “They need to be resettled somewhere else.”

“They need to spread out,” co-host Sara Haines agreed. “This is a huge country!”

Co-host Joy Behar also chimed in, warning that the problem is getting worse: “With global warming and climate change, it’s only going to get worse because people can’t live in certain parts of the world.”

Commenters on X, formerly known as Twitter, called the co-hosts of “The View” hypocritical elitists.

“It has to be in an ad. “The consequences of liberal policies I support shouldn’t affect ME!” joked Twitchy’s Doug Powers.

Commenter Noam Blum shared a screenshot of an old tweet that read: “‘I never thought leopards would eat MY face,’ sobs a woman who voted for the Leopards Eating People’s Faces Party.”

“Libers who have seen Hamilton 20 times say, ‘Send those migrants somewhere else,'” wrote New Yorker and conservative commentator Ryan James Girdusky.

“‘Let them in! Just not in our backyard.’ — basically leftists,” joked MRCTV editor-in-chief Brittany Hughes.
