She also expressed concern about his mental health. Via Mediaite:
“I don’t think he will be held criminally responsible, but any lawsuit they will play this video. I told you, I see sympathy, I see regret, I see, you know, sympathy,” co-host Sunny Hostin said in the interview that aired Thursday night.
“Depression?” Co-host Joy Behar interjected.
“I was feeling depressed,” Hostin continued. “He said he would kill himself if he felt guilty about this. I think that’s a good thing [the interview] for him to actually do despite the criticism that is saying otherwise. “
Joining as a guest host, America Ferrara offers her perspective from working on set, and she had a protect Baldwin. Ferrara says the actor has failed people whose job it is to make sure he is delivered a safe gun.
“I’ve handled guns and it’s a lot of people’s job to make sure everyone is safe on set. That’s AD’s job, every producer’s job – it’s the director’s job and the gunman’s job.” Ferrara said.
