The Tottenham star takes a subtle dig at Antonio Conte and explains why going to training is now easier

Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski has claimed it is easier to go to training after Ange Postecoglou replaced Antonio Conte.

Dejan Kulusevski, who spoke to Fotbolskanalenbelieves Postecoglou’s attacking philosophy has made life more pleasant at Hotspur Way.

What exactly did Dejan Kulusevski say about training at Tottenham?

On life under Postecoglou compared to Conte, the 23-year-old said: “I’m not saying that what we did before was completely wrong, but it was something completely different.”

“I think it’s easier to come to training every day and know that you’re supposed to play with the ball, that you’re supposed to attack and run forward and not backward.”

Whatever Postecoglou does on the training pitch is working and Tottenham have made a strong start to the new season.

The north London club currently sits in second place after wins against Burnley, Bournemouth and Manchester United.

They have only lost points in one game so far, with a 2-2 draw against Brentford at the start of the season. That and their early exit from the Carabao Cup shows that there is still room for improvement, but there is no doubt that fans will be delighted with what they are currently seeing from their team.

Tottenham has the team that plays attacking football

With Kulusevski, Son Heung-min and James Maddison all currently at the club, Tottenham have plenty of talent in attack.

Postecoglou can use it just as well and his time at Celtic suggests he will do just that and not play boring defensive football.

It remains to be seen whether the 58-year-old’s style will work in the long term, but it’s certainly working for now.

An elite striker in January or next summer could really be the icing on the cake, but with the transfer window having just closed, Postecoglou may not be thinking about it at the moment.
