The Sanderson sisters come back from the dead

Risen from their ashes, the Sanderson sisters are back to wreak havoc on the town of Salem.

Hocus Pocus first spooked viewers nearly 30 years ago, and the long-awaited sequel is finally here.

Disney+ released a teaser for Hocus Pocus 2 on Tuesday, and stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy are back as Winifred, Sarah and Mary Sanderson.

The official synopsis of the sequel reads: “It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th Century sisters and they seek revenge. Now it’s up to three high school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallows Day.”

The minute-long trailer begins with two teenagers lighting the Black Flame Candle while the sisters are revived by the fire.

“Some legends never die,” text splatters across the teaser, while whispers of magical phrases and spells can be heard throughout the clip.

At the end of the video, the witch sisters were approached by a man who asked them, “I bet you’re looking for the stage.”
