Nordin, who had his ups and downs during his college days at Michigan, made the list of 53 after an exciting season. He made all three of his scoring attempts in the pre-season opener, but then drew 1-1 while missing two of his four PATs in the No. 2 pre-season game. He took three of his four kicks in the pre-season final, with solitude missing a 53-yard effort late in the game.

Although he made the roster, Nordin was inactive during Week 1 against the Dolphins, with Nick Folk going to be enhanced with the practice roster for the game. Nordin was included in IR on September 18.
Meanwhile, Folk has performed brilliantly for New England this season. The veteran has connected 31 of 34 goals, with 3 missed from more than 50 yards.
