PETR CECH has warned Chelsea not to underestimate Manchester United with the arrival of Ralf Rangnick imminent.
Now, 66-year-old German Rangnick is set to head to Old Trafford after agreeing a deal to be caretaker manager until the end of the season.
He will then start working as a consultant for the club, with United are pushing to try to bring in Mauricio Pochettino as their new long-term boss.
Rangnick won’t make it in time for Sunday Premier League showdown at Stamford Bridge vs Chelsea.
United were without a win in five games before Solskjaer’s departure, but victory over Villarreal provided the opportunity for previously outcast Donny van de Beek and Anthony Martial – and both embraced that.
“We have a saying in Czech: ‘The new broom sweeps better,’” he said. It’s always tough when you play teams with a new manager.

“That’s what Manchester United will hope for: when you change managers, you always have a reaction.
“Suddenly, everyone was starting from the same place. New manager brings new ideas about team, tactics, strategy.
“Even if only the manager leaves and the others stay in place, you still have the feeling of a fresh start.”
Cech added: “It gives people a new drive and a new drive to perform well. There is a change in energy, and this is what creates difficulties for the team facing them.
“The worry is that you might find a team that is a bit more motivated and a little more confident when starting out.
“If not, it’s up to you how well you play, how well you adapt and how well you control the game.”
