The NBA on Friday fined Kevin Durant $25,000 for “directing obscene language at a fan” during the NBA The Nets’ loss to the Mavericks on Wednesday at the Barclays Center.
The video, which started on TikTok, went viral, with one fan telling the Nets star late in the second quarter, “You’ve got to take over this game.”
Durant replied to the fan, “You have to close the fk and sit down.”
As the video was passed around, it landed in front of Durant, who tweeted, “Damn smh [shaking my head]’ along with a picture of a woman handing over money.
This is the second time the NBA has come after Durant this season. He was also fined $25.00 in December for telling a heckler to “Shut up, Motherf—-r.”
