The mission of the COVID mask means some changes for Black Friday

DENVER, Colo. (KDVR) – As shoppers take part in Black Friday deals, masks are mandatory in many malls and stores in the metro area.

Signage in and around Cherry Creek Mall asks everyone to do their part and follow the latest mask regulations.

“We asked them to put it in, but other than that, we didn’t really push the issue too much,” said Cherry Creek Mall General Manager Jeramy Burkinshaw. “We do not take a heavy-handed approach to the ordinance. Under the ordinance, individual businesses are required to comply, and most of our guests do. “

At the Trunk Nouveau Stanley Market, owner Stephanie Shearer is using a quirky sign to ask shoppers to comply with orders.

“There was a bit of a hindrance, I’ll be honest. We just put up a sign that says masks must be on duty, don’t make it weird,” Shearer said.

For those who aren’t comfortable wearing a mask inside, Shearer said she’s doing her best to blend in and keep her small business afloat during the start of the holiday shopping season.

“We order in bulk, but we shop online, we do private shopping later and first, and we deliver door-to-door and curbside,” says Shearer.

Stanley Marketplace is hoping shoppers will come to Small Business on Saturday.
