“The Loneliest Home in the World” on a desert island is listed for just $339,000

No one is an island, but perhaps this is the exception.
A fully insulated one bedroom home on a deserted island in Maine is for sale for just $339,000.
Located in Addison County at 0 Wohoa Bay, the property is being sold as a weekend getaway — but only for serious introverts.
Known as Duck Ledges Island, the listing states that it is “offered in its entirety.” The property sits on 1.5 hectares of land without any sign of civilization.
“The rocky outcrops surrounding the island are teeming with seals for constant entertainment,” the listing reads. “Because there are no trees, it offers views of nature that you can’t find anywhere else.”
The hut coupled as the “The Loneliest Home in the World” was built in 2009 and has no neighbors unless you count the seals. It offers panoramic sea views.

The home spans just 540 square feet and doesn’t have a bathroom, but there’s a detached port-a-potty on the island for those willing to take a midnight run.
“Good anchorage and good landing spots at any tide. Mooring adjacent to the island and only a short boat ride from Jonesport Public Marina or the Addison facility,” adds the listing.
However, it seems that the island is having a hard time finding a buyer. It first hit the market last June – 295 days to be exact.
Bold coastal real estate keeps the listing.
