The largest book in the world published in Texas

This is one for the books.

A Texas nonprofit, publisher and museum worked together to break the Guinness World Record for largest book published, according to KHOU.

The record-breaking title was 7 feet tall and 11 feet wide.

It’s a giant version of the tome “I Am Texas,” which Paper City says contains text and artwork by 1,000 Texas students in grades three through twelve from more than 80 school districts.

The impressive performance was a group effort.

The nonprofit iWRITE Literacy Organization, whose mission is to “build student confidence through writing,” has partnered with the Bryan Museum in Galveston, one of the world’s largest collections of historical artifacts, and children’s publisher Ordinary People Change the World.

Based on the best-selling series by best-selling author Brad Meltzer and illustrator Christopher Eliopoulos, the colossal book will embark on a national tour following its launch at the HEB Thanksgiving Day Parade in Houston.
