The Graham Norton Show: George Takei vows never to mention ‘quarrelsome old man’ William Shatner again

George Takei attempted to settle their long-standing feud star trek Co-star William Shatner went to bed during his performance That Graham Norton Demonstrate.

The two sci-fi stars have been at each other’s throats for years — Shatner previously said Takei used his name for “advertising,” while Takei poked fun at Shatner’s trip into space, calling him a “guinea pig” for space’s influence an “inappropriate” specimen.

While promoting the West End production of his musical Loyalty, based on his family history, Takei vowed never to mention Shatner’s name again.

“You are the last chat show host allowed to ask this question as it has become so tiresome to talk about,” the Hikaru Sulu actor told Norton after the host reported following the pair’s episode on the dated Friday (December 2nd) had asked.

“When Bill has a book to sell, he needs publicity and accuses us of using it. My topic is more substantial and important. He’s a quarrelsome old man and I won’t talk about him anymore. I swear this is the very last time I’ll talk about him.”

Shatner recently published his newly published collection of personal essays entitled Boldly Go: Reflections on a life of awe and wonder.

In conversation with The times Shatner promoted the book, saying, “George [Takei] never stopped blacking out my name. These people are bitter and bitter. I have no more patience with them. Why believe people who are consumed by envy and hate?”

In response, Takei called Shatner a “prima donna” and claimed that “none” of the cast would get along with the Captain Kirk star.
