The German report shares Ryan Gravenberch’s update

Liverpool look set for a busy summer on the transfer front.

Reds boss Jurgen Klopp and the Anfield hierarchy are likely to move to bolster the team’s midfield.

However, it doesn’t look like Jude Bellingham will be on the way to Liverpool.

According to The Times, the Reds will no longer pursue a move for the Borussia Dortmund and England star.

This is reportedly due to the cost of the deal, which is expected to exceed £120million.

With that in mind, a host of other midfield names have started making the rounds in the Liverpool rumor mill.

One of them is Ryan Gravenberch, who plies his trade for Bayern Munich and represents the Netherlands.

According to Fußball Transfers, the Reds are pushing to secure the 20-year-old’s signature.

The German broadcaster – via Sport Witness – says there are “prominent prospects” watching Gravenberch.

Liverpool are one of those interested in him and are “going on the offensive now” to try and secure his signature.

The Reds are reportedly “making a move” to put Gravenberch ahead of the competition.

As well as Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are also reportedly pursuing Gravenberch.

Our view

Gravenberch only joined Bayern last summer but his lack of playing time has sparked speculation about his future.

He has played 27 games but most of them have not been on the bench for a total of 711 minutes.

Liverpool are looking for renewed energy in midfield and a standout box-to-box candidate like Gravenberch is for you.

In fact, Julian Nagelsmann previously said the Dutchman will ‘be one of the best midfielders in the world’.

Of course we have to see what the attitude of Gravenberch – but also of Thomas Tuchel and Bayern – will be in the summer.

Nonetheless, the chance to become a regular at Liverpool under heavy metal manager Jurgen Klopp might turn his head.
