The former Kanye West publicist faces criminal charges in the charges against Donald Trump

Former Kanye West publicist Trevian Kutti is among 18 people charged by a Georgia prosecutor in the indictment against Donald Trump in connection with her alleged video of poll worker Ruby Freeman.

Georgia prosecutors filed a 41-count indictment against Donald Trump and 18 other high-profile individuals. The charges relate to an election interference case and were filed on Monday 14 August. The indictment includes a total of 41 criminal charges against 19 people, including the former president. Among them is Kanye West’s former publicist Trevian Kutti.

Who is Trevian Kutti?

Trevian Kutti is a well-known publicist who used to work with rapper Kanye West. The 51-year-old now describes herself on her social media as a “political strategist and solution maker”. Trevian is currently the head of her own agency, Trevian Worldwide. A video of Kutti allegedly trying to convince poll worker Ruby Freeman went viral on the internet.

Reuters reported in 2021 that footage allegedly shows Kutti telling the Georgia poll worker that she was in imminent danger. Ruby is the same worker the former president reportedly falsely accused of vote-rigging.

“I can’t say exactly what will happen,” Kutti is said to have said. “All I know is that it will affect your freedom,” she says, “and the freedom of one or more of your family members.”

“You’re a loose end to a party that needs cleaning up,” she apparently says.

Kutti allegedly tried to convince Freeman to get involved in a voter fraud case related to the 2020 presidential election.

What is Kutti accused of?

Now Kutti and two others – Stephen Cliffguard Lee and Harrison William Prescott Floyd – face charges of “conspiracy to incite false testimony and writing” and “tampering with witnesses”.
