The death of a man found in an NYC apartment building ordered a homicide

The battered body of a 35-year-old man was discovered Tuesday in a Queens apartment building – and his death was ruled a manslaughter, authorities said.
Police responded to an 911 call at a building on 40th Street near 102nd Street in Corona just after 6 p.m. Tuesday and found the victim inside with severe trauma to the upper body, officers said.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said on Wednesday that his death was ruled a manslaughter.
Authorities confirmed that he was the victim of a physical attack, but had no further details about the nature of the attack or why.
No arrests were made.



The victim’s name has not been released pending family notification.
