The Celtics reportedly agree on a training camp deal with DJ Steward

Rick Bowmer/AP Photo DJ Steward is reportedly joining the Celtics on a training camp deal. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Duke guard will be competing for a two-way contract. The 21-year-old Steward (6ft 2, 163lbs) averaged 13 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.1 steals in his only season with the Blue Devils in 2020-21. Former Duke guard DJ Steward has agreed to a training camp contract with the Boston Celtics, ESPN sources report. In this year's Summer League, he averaged 14.1 points per game with a 48 percent shot rate for the 76ers. He's a defensive, athletic playmaker who scores at all levels and plays hard on defense.
