The bust of the longtime baseball team volunteer of the baseball league was stolen from the park

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Donny Overholser was declared and declared bankrupt by former Fort Myers Mayor Randy Henderson in June 2019 at the Sam Fleishman Regional Sports Complex.

He received this bust for his more than 50 years of service to the park and Fort Myers American Little League. He volunteers his time to help organize equipment, tournaments, and schedules for teams.

On Friday, that bust was stolen. Overholser says the statue costs more than $7,200 and is made entirely of copper.

“I hate people who have gone out and done this alone. They raised a lot of money,” said Overholser.

Coach Chris Gatewood said: “Donny is a guy with a big heart, I mean he doesn’t have to be out here every day like he is.
