MOBILE, Alabama (WALA) – A shooting on Friday night sent a young boy to the hospital. It happened on Dobbs Avenue in Mobile, sending shockwaves through the neighbors.
As described by neighbors, Dobbs Avenue was a relatively peaceful neighborhood, until gunfire was heard.
A neighbor said: “It was around 11pm, and I heard gunshots, and it was like explosions, bangs, gunshots.
Bullets entered a house a few doors down, where a 9-year-old boy was shot in the arm in the living room. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Meanwhile, some of those bullets also leave side damage.
Neighbor Anthony Cromwell’s two cars were hit, leaving shards of glass on the ground and bullet holes in the door. Fortunately, no one was inside.
Anthony Cromwell said: “I’m pretty upset, but I haven’t had any tension with anyone yet. “I haven’t harmed anyone when someone comes and shoots at my house.”
Other neighbors are terrified for their own families.
A neighbor said: ‘Very scared, very scared because I didn’t know he had attacked a nine-year-old child, and it could have been my son.
