The Batman is shaping up to be the most successful film release since the pandemic.
After three days, including previews, Matt Reeves’ version of The Caped Crusader has grossed an estimated $110 million at the box office.
These numbers from Comscore rank it as the sixth-largest March opening of all time Beauty and the Beast ($174.7M), Batman vs Superman ($166M), Captain Marvel ($153.4 million), The hunger Games ($152.5 million) and Alice in Wonderland ($116.1 million).
Noting that its release coincides with the news that inner mask regulations are being lifted in several key territories, The BatmanBox office numbers are expected to grow exponentially over the weekend.
One question fans are wondering is whether they need to sit through the credits for a scene that could tease future appearances for Robert Pattinson’s Batman.
It is now the norm for post-credits scenes to be appended to the end of superhero films. However, Reeves’ film is more of a hoax than a full-blown scene.
In fact, those staying behind to see what goodies are in store might be a little confused.
At the very end of the film, the words “Good Bye” and a green question mark appear on screen, presumably courtesy of the Riddler (Paul Dano). Text then flashes on screen that will no doubt have the audience trying to figure out what it was.
It turns out that the text is actually a URL to the Rat Alada website, which provided references to the film in the run-up to its release.
When you visit the site, you find yourself in a power struggle with the villain himself as he asks you three questions.

If you answer all three correctly, you will receive a secret video.
*Spoilers to follow – you have been warned*
Find the questions the Riddler asks you below, and in case you’re having trouble, the answers have also been provided (thanks to that clever crowd over there GamesRadar).
1. “It’s more than just a game. Fear the one who hides behind you.” mask
2. “What was new is new again. rebirth. Restoration. Reformation.” renovation
3. “I’m a cheater first, or a con, or maybe a mix of both. This is due to your misinterpretation.” confusion
The video you will receive as a reward is a clip from Thomas Wayne’s mayoral campaign – Thomas Wayne is of course Batman’s father himself, Bruce Wayne.
However, the Riddler did paint certain phrases over the video — and if you listen closely, you can hear the villain breathing over the clip himself.
