The beer group debuted with diverse motivations to be less faded, masculine and old

A group of BEERs loved by aging beards is about to be awakened.
Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has launched a “diversity and inclusion” survey to be less pale, masculine and stale.
It is trying to attract more women, gays and minorities to the group, which has been dormant since 1971.
Now, advocates, mostly white middle-aged men, are being questioned about sexual orientation, ethnicity and gender identity “assigned to you at birth.”
They were asked to share their experiences of inclusion and equality and whether they think CAMRA is diverse enough.
Tory MP Bob Blackman “I have been a member of CAMRA since it started and I am male, pale and gray. All kinds of like drinking delicious beer.
“It doesn’t matter whether you’re male or female or black or white.”
Tory Mike Wood, his colleague, chair of the Congressional pub group, said: “Like thousands of people across the country, I met my wife in a pub.
“A fancy image is not good. The more people approach and take to the pub, the better.”
“We want people to feel welcome and safe,” said CAMRA.
“Only one voice can make real change.”
