The Apprentice’s Amy Anzel hits Lord Sugar in a raging rage

SHE was banned from appearing on The Apprentice spin-off show You’re Hired after complaining about Lord Sugar.

Now-fired contestant Amy Anzel, 48, has blasted him AGAIN for being “ageist” and “anti-American.”

The US cosmetics entrepreneur has spoken exclusively to The Sun for the first time about her falling out with BBC bosses over the snub.

And she has lifted the lid on accusing Lord Sugar of being prejudiced against her.

“There was ageism and anti-Americanism,” Amy points out.

“Lord Sugar would bring Donald Trump up to me a lot and I would say I’m not like Trump at all and we all know he and Trump hate each other.

“I think that has a lot to do with it. We’ve heard him say before, ‘I love acorns, not oaks, and I think he sees me more as an oak because my business is four years old or if it comes by the time I’m 48.

“He just has no interest in working with someone who is ‘that old.’ I couldn’t think of any other reason why. Honestly, it was so insulting.

“I had so much to show him. It was so unfair. I was a standout character for six weeks, people knew who I was.

“I think the show is reverse engineered. There is manipulation. A narrative was written for me that felt very unfair.

“Why was I treated differently than everyone else? I don’t feel like I had the same fair chance as everyone else.”

Amy – the oldest contestant to ever take part in the show – was fired in week six.

Lord Sugar, 74, accused Amy of dodging the role of project manager despite suggesting for the role in its second week and serving as sub-team leader four times.

She criticized the decision as “completely unfair and unjustified”.

Amy was later distraught after Lord Sugar posted a tweet that read: “Amy wasn’t selling she was so slow. Slower than broadband wifi in Cornwall.”

After Amy went to production over the jibe, she was banned from appearing on You’re Fired for “breaching the show’s contract” — something she denies.

A source from the Apprentice said at the time: “Invitations to You’re Hired are always voluntary and never guaranteed.”

However, she returns for the final episode tonight – when entrepreneurs Harpreet Kaur and Kathryn Burn go head-to-head.

Amy returns to direct a commercial for Kathryn and says the experience “comes full circle.”

But she’s still furious at how her experience on The Apprentice has unfolded – and has complained to a BBC executive producer. The complaint was never formalized.

“I’m not speaking as a bad loser,” Amy insists.

“I’m confident enough to accept the sacking, but the sacking didn’t seem warranted.

“But the fact that Lord Sugar tweeted these nasty and abusive tweets and got his five million people to come after me…

“He just came up with a reason to get me out. At least be honest and don’t give me such a damn reason.

“It’s fine, I’ll be fine without him. I never imagined that this would be my narrative and journey on The Apprentice, something I’ve had on a pedestal for so many years.

“I went to the executive producer after that and said, ‘I’ve auditioned for this show for four years, you know me, what did I do wrong? That’s crazy.’

“I’ve been going insane about it. I asked how I came across and he said, ‘You didn’t mince your words, that’s for sure’.

“The fact that he couldn’t tell me what I was doing wrong proved a lot. Maybe it’s from Lord Sugar and he just didn’t like me.”
