The £12m Newcastle man might not be too happy with what Eddie Howe has done now – Our View

Newcastle are now expected to sign Anthony Gordon from Everton – a decision Kieran Trippier may have something to say on.
What’s the matter?
Well, the 21-year-old has been given a medical ahead of a £45million move to Tyneside from Everton after missing a series of training sessions to force his move to Newcastle.
At the time of writing, an official announcement appears to be just hours away, although this decision by Eddie Howe might not go down too well with Trippier or Fabian Schar.
Earlier this season, when Newcastle recorded a 1-0 win over Everton at St James’ Park, Gordon and Trippier were engaged in a heated confrontation after the No 10 Toffees fell gently into the box.
Trippier – who cost Newcastle £12million – confronted the England Under-21 international when he seemingly accused him of diving, prompting an angry reaction as you can see below.
Schar then came to Trippier’s defense and aggressively shoved Gordon away several times before Nick Pope also ran to interfere.
Trippier and Gordon also clashed in Newcastle’s 3-1 win over Everton at St James’ Park last season after a powerful tackle from the latter resulted in the England international getting a small kick in the calf.
Trippier was to welcome Gordon to Newcastle
We think Gordon’s fiery side is a good thing and Trippier should welcome it to Newcastle.
Howe is the type of manager who can help the 21-year-old turn his on-pitch aggression into positive energy.
Gordon is also the type of player that opposing fans tend not to like, but those on his side adore him – like Wilfried Zaha at Crystal Palace.
Trippier is experienced enough to put his two clashes with Gordon behind him, and as the team’s leader he should also help the youngster channel the fire in his gut into something productive.
