PLUGERVILLE, Texas (KXAN) – Pflugerville police arrested Danny Kuhnly, 39, on Tuesday. A caller told 911 that a man who matched his description inappropriately touched their 6-year-old daughter in the Target toy aisle at Stone Hill Shopping Center, according to a report. arrest report.
Store employees and police identified the suspect on surveillance video in the toy aisle “near the victim,” the report said. Officers tracked the suspect’s truck to a hotel behind the store, where investigators showed a photo of Kuhnly to an employee, who identified him as a guest. Kuhnly eventually admitted it was him in the photo, according to the affidavit.
Through interviewing the suspect, investigators said Kuhnly also admitted to being at the Bath and Body at Stone Hill Shopping Center a week earlier. Police were investigating an incident there where a woman said a man improperly grabbed her daughter twice in the store.
That woman in that case gave the police a physical description that also matched Kuhnly.
When investigators searched his criminal history, they discovered a previous sexual assault arrest in another county from 2016.
Plugerville police did not wish to comment further, citing an ongoing investigation. KXAN has also reached out to the mall’s corporate offices for comment.
