Texas Hurricane Damage: Ransom’s Steakhouse Among Businesses and Building Damaged in Montgomery County

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) – As hurricanes and tornadoes could move through southeastern Texas overnight, Montgomery County residents have woken up to widespread damage.

Video captures damage at Ransom’s Steakhouse and Saloon on Steward Drive. Part of the roof was ripped and ripped off around 10pm on Saturday.

Members of ABC13 at the scene saw another restaurant nearby with roof damage.

In the town of Montgomery, winds were strong enough to knock down a house under construction.

The frame part collapsed completely, leaving the roof above the ground.

Wind and lightning from the storm also damaged trees and fences around the house.

Video shows a tree split in half, with other debris all over the roadway.
