Texas Chainsaw Massacre Trailer Heralds the Return of Leatherface

Netflix has released a trailer for Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the bloody sequel to Tobe HooperThe 1974 classic of the same name by the killer. The trailer was announced as part of the CCP and came out just a day after the movie first image gave us a look Mark Burnham (Wrong police) as the killer Leatherface.

The new one Texas Chainsaw Massacre Set years after the events of the original Hooper sequel, in a timeline where no one has heard of Leatherface for a long time. By skipping the original seven sequels, the new one Texas Chainsaw Massacre will set up a new confrontation between the masked killer and the last surviving girl Sally Hardesty, a formula tested and approved by 2018 Halloween. Olwen Fouere (Mandy) plays the role of Sally in the upcoming sequel, replacing Marilyn Burns. While there is a new cast and crew joining in Texas Chainsaw Massacre, fans can at least be sure that the project respects Hooper’s origin story by sticking to an R rating and there will be plenty of gruesome deaths.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre directed by David Blue Garcia (Tejano) from a script of Chris Thomas Devlin. The film’s cast includes Elsie Fisher (stone castle), Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), Moe Dunford (Dig), Alice Krige (Star Trek), Jacob Latimore (Maze runner), Nell Hudson (Victoria), Jessica Allin (The Laundromat), Sam Douglas (Grab), William Hope (Dark), and Jolyon Coy (“War and Peace”) star.

The new one Texas Chainsaw Massacre was filmed in Bulgaria last year. Films produced by filmmakers Fede Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues for Bad Hombre Films, as well as Kim Henkel, Ian Henkel, and Pat Cassidy by Exurbia Films. Álvarez and Rodo worked together to reboot Sam Raimi‘NS Dead Devil franchise in 2013, to critical acclaim. So we can say that the duo treats the beloved horror series with the respect it deserves. Talk about the melody of the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Álvarez says:


“Rodo and I really wanted to make sure we didn’t let the fans down, and we [among them]. So it’s quite difficult. But at the same time it has the simplicity of that first movie. We want to make a very simple premise [with] a strong domino effect. Everything is in place – all you have to do is push the domino first and everything will be easy.”
