He won a quality renewal of the Cheltenham Gold Cup in March when he swam brilliantly and rose above the infamous hill. He wasn’t asked too many questions when he was back at Down Royal for the third time last time and will be healthy and ready for this. He goes on any ground and could deliver another big win for Henry De Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore.

He signed last season with a 2nd Place win at Haydock and should enjoy this three-mile walk. He looked very tired when he returned to Carlisle last time when he finished fourth in a listed competition. He had come a long way before he got tired of being late. That is understandable after a nine-month break and he will be prepared for today.

DANNY KIRWAN (1.20 Kempton, triple)

He had moments of overcoming barriers and showing loads of promise as he finished second on his Cheltenham debut last time out. That effort went well over all because he jumped to the right a few times and lost ground. Much of his best form has come on a fast track like Kempton and he could go a long way here.

Has performed well in stronger company than this.

Was closest in the debut game at Cheltenham.
