Temperatures are warming up for Memorial Day

RALEIGH, NC (WNCN) – It’s getting warmer again! And temperatures will gradually rise over the next few days.

Sunday’s high temperatures will reach the upper 80s around central North Carolina, but humidity will not be a significant factor in the afternoon heat.

The Sandhills will see temperatures close to 90 degrees on Sunday afternoon.

The chance of rain remains toward the remote coastal communities and east of Interstate 95, and those chances are slim.

Sunday night temperatures will be in the mid 60’s.

Their Memorial Day plans remain dry with warm temperatures nearing 90 for most of Central North Carolina.

And June is almost here.

The new month starts with 90’s forecast and dry weather until the end of the shortened working week.

However, some showers and thunderstorms are possible on Friday, but the rain will clear up for next weekend.
