TWO drunk teenagers who punched and punched a stranger on the head as he walked home from a night out with his partner have been jailed for murder 15 years later.
In 2006, Paul Machin, 46, was started by Shane Wright, 17, and Kieron Hennessy, 18.
He never regained consciousness and died of an infection in 2019, aged 58.
The booed couple viciously attacked Paul after he responded to insults directed at him and his partner Jane Powell.
Wright, now 32, is serving time in prison and Hennessy, 33, of Peterborough, was found guilty of GBH in 2007.
Both have admitted to the murders at previous hearings.
Each was yesterday sentenced at Cambridge crown court to life in prison with a minimum term of nine years.
