Teenage boy shot dead outside New York school identified as Mark Greene

A New York teenager who was fatally gunned down outside his high school was identified by police on Friday – as another teenager was beaten with charges related to the possible gang-related shooting.
Mark Greene, 18, was standing at a bus stop outside North Queens Community High School in Kew Gardens Hills around 3pm when he was suddenly hit by gunfire, law enforcement sources previously said.
Police recovered a gun at the scene and arrested two people. Michael Raly, 18, was charged with criminal gun possession on Friday, sources said.
The second person of interest had not been charged as of Friday, sources said. So far, no one has been charged with the murder.
Police suspect the shooting was gang-related and that the victim may have been a gang member.

The teenager was taken to Jamaica Hospital but could not be saved.

“I told him, ‘Wake up, don’t sleep. Do not sleep.’ He was breathing but he wasn’t moving,” local resident Ricardo Espinoza told the Post after Thursday’s incident, adding the teenager was shot three or four times.
The tragedy happened just around the corner from the school, near the corner of 77th Road and Main Street, Espinoza said.
“He put the gun in his sweatshirt pocket and ran away. He passed me right there, so I just tucked my kids in and put my kids in the car. He ran all the way down,” said Espinoza, 35.
Greene’s relatives could not be immediately reached for comment
