Teen drowns: 16-year-old tried to swim across island and never surfaced in Lake Houston, police say
LAKE HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A 16-year-old drowned on Lake Houston in East End Park Saturday night, police said.
The teenager was with friends who went swimming on the island around 8pm
Police said the young man tried to swim from one island to another but did not resurface.
